This exercise might be helpful if you are having a hard time keeping your bow at the same latitude throughout the course of a bow stroke / crooked bow / hitting other strings.

Common Pitfalls
Pitfall #1: Using too much pressure. Be sure to use very light pressure– do not push in the bow into the bridge as you are doing this– rather think of gliding the bow softly in across the bridge.
Pittfall #2: pushing your head forward to see what your bow is doing. Instead, keep your head floating above your pelvis, and watch yourself performing this exercise in a mirror, correcting your angle as you go.
